It can be either way for either one.

Females, not used to anything inside them, can feel stretching, and burning from the chemicals on the condoms.
Males can get squeezed so hard when a female orgasms that it hurts and/or closes up the hole so when we thrust we end up bending it.
But usually it feels pretty good.

Sex should NOT be painful. Both women and man enjoy sex with either gender. Love is not vital for good sex, although it helps. Communication is vital to GOOD sex. Letting your partner know what you enjoy (or don't) is important. Listening to your partner is a key. It is true that there are people who enjoy pain few and far between) there are far more people who enjoy inflicting pain. Pain between consenting adults within clear boundaries, agreed upon in advance, and honored promptly is acceptable, but not the norm. Pain when not enjoyed by both parties is WRONG ethically, morally and legally. For the most part -women and men enjoy sex equally and there is nothing more fun and joyful than good sex.

Sex is a mental thing - not painful if done right and with the right person. Many people of both sexes seem to enjoy it. Watch reruns of sex in the city - you will notice 4 different attitudes about sex all by women.

It can be very enjoyable for both sexes given the proper... handling of it? Basically they both have to figure out what feels good for them and be in sync to each others' bodies.

I'm not expert, believe me but I think it *could* be painful at first if a girl is being penetrated by a man and she is a virgin. Otherwise, it probably just feels gooooood.
