american top 40 is now hosted with ryan seacrest, it comes on the same time as it did before for me.

American Top 40 was a great show, I agree.
Kasey Kasem went on to do the show on television for a bit, but, basically.. interest in the top 40 waned a bit when Clear Channel took over radio and began to program stations all over the country with the same songs at the same time. Radio became homogenized and less and less new artists were actually introduced via the radio. Mtv and other means of pushing the same songs into video markets made the way Kasey's show worked redundant and it faded from lack of interest.

he was on T.V. in the 70s late 80s, on Saturday mornings, in phila, pa. I know, i used to watch him, You know I think the ratings went down hill, because he said something about a celebrity at one time or another, and finally he ended it, I dont know what happened to him, But he was funny, and nice

thanks for reminding me of that show. i used to watch it every sat. also. i do believe that ryan seacrest has taken it now. cant tell whos better, oh well.
