A wave is a propagation of a disturbance through some medium. Take the common sound wave created when we speak...the air is disturbed in a pattern of high and low pressure points....these points that vary in pressure reach our eardrum where they are interpreted as different sounds...different pitch, volume, tones, frequency, etc. Other types of waves are similar but they cant be seen or heard. So radio waves work similar accept our ear cant pick them up but antennas and radios can. infared and micro waves are waves that are not visible. I know this isnt as detailed as u may like but hopefully ive helped in some small way. good luck
