I am thinking about buying my bestfriends son a powerwheel for his one year birthday now the moneys not the problem cause I spoil him, but is he too young for a little small power wheel truck that moves when he twist the handles (it doesnt have foot peddles like the usuall power wheel)and it moves slower than the average power wheels for one years olds and it says its for 12 months-36 months or do you all think its too dangerous for a one year old.

My Nephew got his first powerwheel when he was 12 months old and it proved to be nothing but a source of major frustration. He was simply not capable of operating it at that age and he got angry and frustrated every time he tried. Eventually they put it away and brought it back out for his 2nd birthday and it was much better received at that age.

That is way too soon to give a 1 yr old a powerwheel. a power wheel should be for the ages 4 and up but not for a one year old. try getting the child something that can teach him or her about colors or number.

I don't think its a good idea. I plan on buying one for my baby, but not until he turns two. Wait another year, he will know more about what he is doing and will enjoy it much more. There are sooo many awesome toys out there for 1 year olds right now- I can give u some ideas, if you'd like. My son turned one in January and my living room is full of all kinds of stuff!! He's a bit spoiled too!! :)

I do not think it is such a good idea. Wait two years. Here is why. He will not fully enjoy it because he is too young to steer it right. Secondly, by the time he will want to ride it, he will be too big for it. My son was three when he got the motorcycle power wheels. He loved it. As a matter of fact we still have it. He is 8 now. My daughter rides it now. So I would wait.

you should ask the parents what they think about it....we have a 13 month old who has one....now we would NEVER just turn her lose on it...lots of supervision and safety gear.....but all our kids grew up around all this kinda stuff so just natrual that the grandaughter is doing it now.....just ask the parents what they want....if it's made for a 12 month old i wouldn't see a problem with it if the parents don't and you superveise the child and wear some safety gear.
