Does anyone really think that China can stop Starbucks?

Starbucks I believe is like the Borg resistance is futile.

I have about 50 of them in my area and on my way to serivces on Saturday I have counted at least 3 new ones on the way.

Starbucks will win, the Chinese government needs to show greater 'openness' toward foreign brands, something which is even more crucial now because of the upcoming summer olympics in the city of Beijing.

The Chinese government has to put on a positive pro-world face, and the best way to send that message is to embrace multi-national brands.

Some Chinese entrepreneur will win. He will open a series of knock-off cafes called Hobucks or LuckyCoffee.

I really hope China wins. Why? They have been around longer, and unlike Starbucks, they know their limitations.
