Sorry, can only think of adult diapers. What about Serene? That's really pretty.

Nice. I wish I'd had the guts to name my daughter something very unique like that! I like Trinity and Destiny also. I like the names Charity, and Desiree, too. I do really love my daughter's name even though it's not as unique as those! It's kind of a "safer" name, it's Bethany. I do love it though. She gets called Beth for short. For Serenity she would probably be called "Seri" or something. It's nice, though!

No... what if she isn't serene? What if shes hyper and all that.... you're taking a chance on naming her Serenity.... Plus it's the brand name of diapers for old people.... well not old people, any adults i suppose... sorry! I don't like it at all.

I really feel that this is a horrible name. First, don't believe that it is unique, it is not. It is very trendy and it is quickly becoming common. Second, it is a brand of adult incontinence products. Third, it is just way over the top.
If you want to use a unique virtue name, use Verity, Serena or Hope.
I also wanted to add: Can you truly imagine yourself yelling "Serenity!!" across the playground?

'Not too crazy about it. There are so many "new" and made-up names out there today. People who hear her name for the first time will probably have to do a double-take to make sure they have it right. For god's sake if you DO name her this, do NOT spell it funny, like beginning w/ a "C" that will only increase confusion. What if she turns out to be a wild child, screaming and bouncing off the wall all of the time?,.. more like a Banshee? That would be really whacky!
It's important to give a child a name that they can carry throughout life with ease,.. without having to repeat or spell it for folks.
