First of all, have u checked the batteries lol. This is, most of the time, the problem. I suspect though that this is not the case and it is either that the controllers are faulty or down to the Frequency that these devices run on. I suspect that your router is on the same frequency as your wirless router and the stronger device. in this case the router, is prevailing. If this is definitely the case then i sugest that u go to your local retailer/dealer whatever to sort out what u can do to solve this problem.

If you mean wireless router to connect to the internet, then its because PlayStation does not support wireless for on-line play, its not to say it wont connect, but they don't support it, they wont go out of their way to make it work. I bought a wireless router for my PS2 and it wont connect at all and Sony said there was nothing I could do, because they don't support it.

As far as you controllers are concerned, they may be running on the same frequency as the router (as unlikely as that is). that's the only reason i can see.
