what do you think about Islam?

i am asking that because i think people have a bad imression about islam who others give to them!
i wana know what poeple think so i can correct the bad imression

Islam is a peaceful religion which is often misunderstood for a violent one due to extremists who twist the words of the Quran and ruin the name of real Muslims.

As I understand it, Islam is a predominately peaceful religion and it is blown out of proportion and tainted by the fundamentalist Islamic followers (as few in number as they may be).

This is always the way. Christians for example, are stereotyped by Evangelicals and the American bible belt - it's the strongest mental stereotype that leaves the biggest impression.

I don't think that you yourself will be able to correct the bad impression, although it's admirable you want to! Unfortunately the religion, like all others, will be judged by the most rememberable traits and events - e.g. 9/11.

I think the best thing you can do is just be friendly, not push your religion on other people and get on with being yourself. That's the most anyone can do.

what about it? its a religion. u'll be surprised how many ppl are okay with it. only some really stubborn and thick-headed people (mainly in the mid states who have no good education) are so pathetic when it comes to terms with diverse ppl.
