possibly, you would be 5 weeks pregnant now calculating from your last period, some pregnancy test state that they are reliable from the 1st day of your missed period. The HCG hormone levels will be quite low at this stage, so its possible the test may of not detected it. Also wait a least an hour after you last urinated to perform the test as this can produce a negative result, its best to use the a morning sample as this will contain higher amounts of the hormone. Repeat your test at 3 day intervals as the level of hormone increases.

I'm not sure. It might be best to wait a couple of days and then do another home test. If it's negative and you still don't get your period after a few more days, i would suggest going to see you GP for a pregnancy test or blood test. All the best.

You could be....and the pregnancy test might not be able to detect the hormone this early. I would wait a week and try the test again if you are still late. If it comes back negative again...I would schedule an appointment with your doctor! It sounds like you want another child....so I hope you are and that this is great news!!

Five weeks is iffy. It *could* be too early for the test to detect anything. That light bleeding could be a light period, or it could be from the egg implanting. Give it another week or two and take another test.

I'm not sure Kelly, but if it helps, most people (but not all) have some other symptoms too. Very sore breasts for example, or burping and pumping a lot, and nausea of course. How were your other pregnancies? (Although my mum had very different pregnancies with all 3 of us!)
I hope you are pregnant though, you have been trying for long enough in my opinion! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
Good luck! xxxx

Wait and do another test, but if you're really anxious, see a doctor. It's always the best anyway, as tests are not always completely accurate.
