well it wasnt a prank really. but it was uneccessary. you see when i was 19 i had OCD. ok i still do! lol anyway this was back in the day when noone knew what i was, they called me eccentric! anyway i had a craving for bananas. so i ate one, and then another and then two more! then i got scared and thought i'd get constipated! so i made me a metamucil drink! and then i realized i didnt even read the directions properly. i didn't know what the side effects were. so i read the label and it said, disolve properly may cause choking. well this is about 5 min. after the fact but because i was impressionable i believed i was choking! so i called 911 and reported that i was choking!! (omg i can't stop laughing remembering this!) and the 5 firefighters showed up (they were the only emt available) staring at me while i held the metamucil container hacking away like a cat with a fur ball! lmao i sware this is true, i was so nuts! now i'm not raging ocd like that ! i have my meds, but damn i could tell you some stories! lol

No! Do not tie up the 911 dispatcher or the 911 line with a prank. What if someone who REALLY needs help cannot get through because of a prankster? That would be really sad and worthy of serious punishment.

Wow! I just have to say that I can't believe there are people out there who have never pranked 911! I thought EVERYONE had done that. Of course, I used a payphone back in the day...do they even have those anymore? I guess kids have come up with better things to do in their spare time....or maybe worse things to do ....I don't know.

Nope!! But a child that I was taking care of did a couple of times. And yes, the POLICE did show up at the door..... they said if anyone called 911; they were REQUIRED to see if everything was ok even though I told them over the phone that one of the children had dialed them by accident!!

However, if you dialed them as a prank & they showed up.......... ??? Let's just say that I wouldn't!!!!!!

No I never prank call them, but when I was little around 8 or 9 I called it cause I was curious if it worked and when someone answered I hung up and they called me back and that was like 25 years ago when caller id was not real known.

No, never, na da...it is against the law and I could go to jail for doing that. While they are handling a fake 911 call a real call could be prevented from coming in and that person could die.

No, I haven't and I wouldn't. For one thing it is against the law and you could get in trouble for it, and that would be pretty stupid to do something like that when worst crimes are being taking place and we need officers there. So please call 911 only if you have an emergency.

one time when i was younger, and didnt know i wasnt supposed to call 911 unless of an emergancy, my brothers said "dail 911 than hang up when somebody picks up! its fun!"
so i did that, than about 5 minutes later 3 police cars and like 5 policemen showed up at my door

I haven't, I seen a kid do it on a payphone once while I was working. The cops showed up within about 2 minutes and had a nice long talk with the kids parents, he was only about 5 or 6. how embarrassing...

lol i did but i didn't mean to!!! my mom got a new phone and didn't know what it meant by "s.o.s" button. So she told me to call it, thinking it was just like the company line or something, and the lady answered and said "911, what's your emergency?" i was horrified especially because i could tell she was a prissy woman so i said "oh,er, uh, sorry, i was, uhm, trying to call my mom. sorry sorry er bye" and she;s like "ok" in a pretty sarcastic rude voice!!!! Of course when i was telling her my excuse, i didn't think about how would i accidentally call 911 while trying to call my mom? lol..
