It doesn't matter on the questions I don't believe. I've noticed on some, some top contributor answer less than those that are not labeled as a top contributor. It matters mainly on the category you answer the questions most in. Like me, I stick mainly in P & S and so I'm a top contributor in that area as under my label. And others have 2 or maybe even 3 different categories that they answer most in. I think the new feature is quite weird in my opinion but Yahoo seems to try the best to improve their site. Doesn't make me answer less really, just makes me notice more regulars with the big orange label under their name.

I have no idea, I signed on and the orange label was there. I usually stay and answer questions until they wont allow me to anymore, depends on the level. I would recommend staying in one category, I usually stay here. That's how I think I got mine.

i think its not the # of questions answered because you also can get best answers for 10 pts so it depends on how good you answered it also. and when you get tagged as top you probably have it 4 life.

I have only asked 47 and I am one. Don't ask me why lol. I actually don't like the orange thing. I think it is a distraction and annoying! :)
