Humans are not monkeys. Humans are also not apes. Humans did not come from monkeys or apes. Evolution says that humans, monkeys, and apes all have a common ancestor species.

Humans are hominids. We're a totally different species than our ape cousins.

If this is a religious question I'm just going say, ask your pastor.

If not, monkeys evolved into apes, apes evolved into humans. We're not monkeys anymore, but at one time we were.

No. We're in the ape family, which differs from the monkeys in lack of tail.

Humans and monkeys are primates. In the same way that a horse is not a zebra, both are equines.

According to a theory:Two types of hominids have lived on the earth. The 1st type is the primary ones who lived many milleniums ago, originated from apes (monkeys) & have been extinct, & the 2nd type is the human being, living nowadays. So we are NOT monkeys.

Humans and monkeys are both primates, but humans are a species of ape, like gorillas, chimps orangatans and I think gibbons are the other one, not monkeys.

It just seems that way, It's just the people you have been hanging around with. But I am pretty sure monkeys evolved from people. They decided not to come down from the trees with us. They were not listening to God when God said, "Come down from the trees!"

The same types are with us today, these are the same people who do not believe in global warming. Or they believe in their own infallible judgment.

I've been called worse. But no, we are from the great ape family. (Monkeys have tails; the great apes do not.)

No, humans are considered apes. Like, gorillas, and any kind of "monkey" resemblance that does not have a tail.
