i have a swordtail and its a male fish but i doesnt look ike it has a tube thing to get the girl pregant and i kno hes a HE.is this normal??and one or my other swordtail has like little claws on it.it kinda looks like if hiw bones are ocming out of him.what do i do?!?!

If your swordtail is fairly young his gondopodium ( tube shaped anal fin) may not be well developed or may be hidden by surrounding fins. Otherwise it's not a male. The other sword sounds deformed to me.

chances are, wherever you bought it, another fish have nibbled it off. One of my swordtails doesnt have a top fin because of this.

The genitals only come out when they are going to breed- that's why.
