Yes. Get a broadband Verizon PC data card, they cant control nor monitor anything when you have that.

Your school has probably disabled internet access to programs like limewire, bearshare, check out the link below. And be careful. BTW, Tommy is correct. If you use a broadband card, you won't be on the schools net, and that cannot block you. But you still could be fined if caught. But it is probably easier for them to go after students in a dorm, because they are easy to find and everyone there is doing it

Be careful. Allot of universities are monitoring people using software like limewire and reporting them to the authorities....
