I am a junior in high school and have a lot of homework.

My usual homework:
Math (Calculus): 10-20 problems/night
English: a book (right now "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings") every couple of weeks
World History: a worksheet or something every once in a while
Chemistry: a lab write up or paper every once in a while
Intro to Psych (extra college course): at least a chapter/week to read takes about 2 hours to read, do homework and take test
French: a worksheet every once in a while

It seems like if I am alone I do it just fine, but when my parents are alone, I never seem to get it done (I PROCRASTINATE!!!!!)

What should I do because I get home about 4:00, get a snack or something, watch some TV (my parents say I need some "me time"), then am on homework for the rest of the night. What should I do to get done with everything on time???????

Find some friends to do homework with. That would help!

Why don't you have a quick snack before you start and do an hour's work before you watch TV?

That way you can enjoy tv without having to worry about homework and you have something to look forward to when you finish.

Try cutting your work into 1/2 hour sections so it doesn't feel like a huge slog to get it done?

Ask your parents to pester and harrass you about it until you do it just for the peace and quiet!

You have a lot of homework. No wonder it's hard to get it all done. Try giving yourself a reward for getting to work. Think of something you would really enjoy, and don't let yourself have it until you meet your homework goal.

It's easy, and you can start tomorrow if you wish.

Do it in short sprints. Don't look at it as a whole.

Okay, before dinner you're going to do 5 math problems. Do them (make it an achievable goal), take a break.

Make another achievable goal - do it, take a break.

And so on.
