Late nineties and early 2000s is definitely not "old hip hop." But I do suggest DJ Shadow's Endtroducing... for some killer songs that are hip hop and electronica combined. I'm especially fond of Organ Donor.

"Jack and Diane" is by John Mellencamp and is a classic rock song, not hiphop.

umm "jack and diane" is pretty good but i think its a little older than the 1990s. <3

hip hop artists -( tupac, biggie, method man, redman, dmx, ll cool j, jay-z, lost boys, master p, 504 boys, bone thugz n harmony, foxy brown, da brat, dr. dre, snoop dogg, ice cube , eazy e, lil kim, puff daddy, saltn pepa) most of these people are still making music but they were hot back then too.
