Yeah thats fine but you can also just wet the brush a little with water to make it stay longer too.

Some people do this..But It tends to crease.
I swear by Urban Decay's Primer potion...It makes your eye makeup last for hours without creasing or fading, makes the colors glide on and pop! you only need a little bit, wait for it to dry, then apply eyeshadow. You can even use cream shadow! It's only 14 dollars and well worth it.

It's okay, but it won't work all day. That's what I used to do based on a recommendation from someone at the MAC counter. I was doing that for years. I went back for something else recently and told her my eye shadow doesn't stay on all day and that I put concealer on first and she said that's the problem. She told me about the primer that LKell mentioned above from MAC. It's awesome stuff! My eye shadow stays on with full color all day now. I love it!

One thing that will help is to use an eye makeup remover that does NOT contain mineral oil. The molecular structure of mineral oil is too large to penetrate the pores of our skin so it just sits on the top layer like saran wrap. So, if you use an eye makeup remover at night when you wash your face, the mineral oil is still there is the morning and will make your eye makeup slip or wear off during the day. Just a helpful hint! :-)

It is ok to use concealer before apply eye shadow but sometimes, it tends to make the eye shadow cakey after awhile.

Simply apply some eye cream or just moisturizer before apply eye shadow and this works as well...

Sure, I do it sometimes. Some concealers may make your shadow crease, but if yours doesn't that's cool.
