What magazines would you consider to be the most prestigious ones to write for?

Playboy. They have always had a reputation of publishing very good articles (seriously) and also pay far more than most magazines. Getting published in Playboy has always been considered quite a coup.

Time is the first one that came to mind. Also, People is a good celebrity magazine that's looked highly on.

guess it depends on your goal-- to be a *good* journalist or to get a good job... that sounds snobbish, but I guess what I mean is, who are you trying to please?

From a reader's or historian's perspective, I would respect someone writing for THE NATION or THE ODE more than someone writing for TIME or NEWSWEEK.

If you get to choose, I guess that means you're a good journalist!
