A while ago somebody todl me you can downlaod a scrrensaver from nasa which analyses a certain area of space. If the screensaver changes you have discovered life. Where can I find such a scrrensaver?

I've been running it on my computer for several years - haven't found anything, yet... There are other programs you can run, too, like one for climate prediction, protein folding, and many others.

Well, maybe SETI has some sort of volunteer program where you can use your computer's idle cycles to analyze radio data to check for signs of intelligent life. But a screen saver? I guess if they wanted to make it look cool, sure.

It's not a screensaver from NASA, but SLOOH provides online feeds with images gathered from deep space telescopes.
