This is the annoying thing about becoming pregnant - you don't find out what you can or can't do until after you have seen a midwife which is usually about 4-5 weeks after you found out you were pregnant! How mad is that?!?!?

Buy all the magazines and get reading because there are loads of things you can't do!

Don't eat peanuts - they may cause your child to have peanut allergy apparently - how stupid is that?

Don't eat mayonnaise - that was a nightmare for me!

Avoid caffeine - so avoid tea and coffee and cola!

Drink loads and loads of water.

Get the magazines, there are stacks more! And good luck with your pregnancy and congratulations!

I did everything I did before I was pregnant besides eat sushi and a ton of seafood. Babies are really safe in the womb. I wouldn't go on any rides or anything but just normal day to day activities are fine. I got a book at the bookstore that is the do's and don'ts of pregnancy and it is pretty good.

Check it out with your midwife - but as a guide - eat no shellfish, no pate, no liver, no raw or semi-raw eggs (you can eat pasteurised mayonnaise like in a jar from supermarket), and no raw or semi raw meat (no rare steaks). You also shouldn't lift heavy things.
You should eat: lots of fruit & veg, drink lots of water, eat meat, lentils, and carbs - to keep your protein and energies up. Try and cut back on the processed foods and takeaways and I think (although many disagree) that you shouldn't drink alcohol. Oh, and smoking will affect your baby if you smoke so its best avoided.
Also get yourself some comfy shoes as if you wear tight ones or high heels your ankles might get puffy especially in the late stages - glamourous I know!

no drinking, smoking, drug use
limit caffeine
any prescription OR over the counter meds without Dr's OK
NEVER NEVER NEVER Aspirin!!!
No really heavy lifting

-that is really about it imo. There are some fishes you should avoid but I don't know what ones because I don't eat fish anyways. I also heard no lunchmeat but I ate this with both my kids.

Someone also told me no hot baths or hot drinks b/c I would burn the baby. Things like this are stupid and to be ignored. The baby is fine in there!

What you thinking of doing?! Best person to ask advice is your midwife. If you are talking about exercise - if you go to a gym ask one of the instructors as to what exercises you can do; you can swim; walk but no rock climbing, jet skiing or skiing!! You can eat most things except unpasterised soft cheeses (usually French), pate, under-cooked meat, soft/raw eggs, make sure veg and fruit washed properly.
You can carry on sexual relations unless you bleed and then you need to see your GP/A&E/Midwife. Hope this helps.

its up to you really, if you very active now stay active but not strenuous

if not active, dont try and do all sorts

if you drink cut right down, 1 0r 2 now and again is ok same with smoking

can still have sex

theres certain foods you cant eat like liver, raw meat,Soft cheese such as blue cheese, feta, Brie, Camembert, and Latin-American soft white cheeses such as queso blanco and queso fresco, because they may harbor harmful bacteria
