Getting drunk and fighting happens everyday in Ireland. Its just that we have to wear green for Saint Patrick's Day.

I positioned on the golf green to honor my Irish background, consume corned crimson meat and cabbage for dinner, i do no longer drink something alcoholic yet I certainly have a good number of relaxing with all my Irish acquaintances. Saint Patrick is form of like Santa Clause regularly delusion. Oh yeah, there in no way have been any snakes in eire first of all, he had no longer something tocontinual out. only yet another delusion.

Here in Downpatrick, Co Down we go to early Mass, then we visit the grave of our National Saint - yes he is buried here. Then we have a cross community parade thro the town with all the razzmatazz for all the family. Then we get drunk and start fighting.

It is an actual religious celebration, so we should go to mass. There are also parades in most major towns, Dublin has a fun fair, fireworks and a 3 day festival. In between all that we drink loads and party, but they is never, in my memory, any sort of trouble, (not in Dublin anyway), and it helps because its an official bank holiday weekend too.
