Question: Are there any pharmacutical reps out there that would mind telling me about the job.?

Questions I have are college degree needed, job responsibilities, Job requirements, enjoyment, etc.?... If you have any info PLEASE! help me out. I am needing to focus on a major and this is one of my options.

I'm not a pharm rep but I'm not unfamiliar with them. A college degree may not strictly be needed, but you will be talking with some very intelligent people so you will need to present yourself as knowledgeable, degree or no degree.

You also have to be a "people person", be willing to walk up to total strangers and do a sales pitch without it seeming like a sales pitch, you will need to be VERY organized and follow up on your encounters, not to mention any requests, you will have to look presentable, and frankly you will have to look perky and awake at 8 in the morning, not to mention decently dressed.

On top of all that, you will need to understand your product, and the more you understand the basics of biology/pharmacology, the better you will be able to answer questions and make sales.

If you think you can do all that, then a pharm rep might be right down your alley.

You might not be able to do that and still be able to be a decent rep, but the more advantages the better. At a minimum, be presentable, seem knowledgeable, and follow through.
