Cover Girl make a foundation that is called clean it works really good (I have fair skin and freckles too!!!) It does not make you look like you have a mask on either!!! I think it is like $4 or $5, pretty cheap!!! Cover Girl also has a powder that is called clean to go over the foundation it is like $4. They are numbered by shade I am a 115(powder) and 105 (foundation). Hope that helps!!!

I hope you're not trying to cover your freckles! Freckles are lovely. If you just want to even your skin out, then maybe a tinted foundation would work for you--it's just a little bit of coverage and color, and some have sun protection, so that's a plus. And, it won't look heavy and made up, so that should make your mom happy. There are several brands that make these, Neutrogena, Wet n Wild, CoverGirl, etc.--take a look around and see what looks good to you.

I.D. Bare Minerals. With this stuff there is no thing as putting too much on. Go to Sephora or Ulta and ask for a Bare Minerals make over. They will do it for free, the product is sort of expensive though. But the starter kit costs $60 and it includes Mineral veil (which goes on first) the foundation itself, blush and I think eyeshadow with I think a Buki brush. But when you wear it, it feels so light and your skin can breathe. I haven't ever gotten a zit from it and I have been wearing it for over 2 years. It really rocks.

I am 13 and I wear I.D. Bare Minerals foundation. My mom bought it for me on QVC. I bought the shade called Fairly Light since that is also my shade. First I put on a light moisturizer, then the foundation, then Bare Minerals Warmth, then Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, my skin looks great I have not had a serious zit for a long time!!! It is quite expensive though. The starter kit costs $60 but it is worth it!!!! I look great!!!!

Lancome teint idol foundation is the best. I have pale skin and freckles too and I like to cover my freckles up without a ton of makeup.

go to like target, walmart, kaymart, or walgreens or sum place like that and get maybelline dream matte mousse foundation its kinda like thick whip cream pressed in a container and it works really well bc its not that noticable but it helps to even your complexion. if you have light skin i would recommend classic ivory color of that stuff. thats what i got bc i have light skin and it s perfect. its pretty cheap i guess, about $5 and it lasts a long time bc you barely have to touch it to get some on your finger. i love it! good luck.

Sheer cover. I've seen it on infomercials on sky TV. Apparently you can't even tell you're wearing it & it will cover your freckles if you don't like them.
