Suppose you're on a Ferris wheel at a carnival, seated 10 m from the Ferris wheel's axis. If you make a complete rotation each minute, your linear speed is?

Can anyone show me the formula for this?

U calculate the circumference and cause u make one rotation per second, the circumference its the same like the linear speed.

circumference: 2*R*PI = 2*10*3.1415 = 62.83 m

Periode is one, so your speed is 62.83 m/s

Basic formular: circumference/Rotation_Period

Its actually 1.05m/s
or 62.83 m/min

62.83 m/s = 140.5 mph which is a bit fast

circumference divided by period.
