I'v been wanting to see "The Dreamers" for months so I decided to rent it... but when I asked my mom If I could she said it it was not appropriate. For those of you who aren't familiar with "The Dreamers" its a little bit sexual. I'm 13, and very mature for my age, and I want to see this movie sooo bad! What could I say to my mom to convince her to let me watch it?

But I don't understand what its possiably going to do to me? I'm not going to go mental, I'm not going to turn into a stipper. Gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sit down with your mom and have a conversation about why you would like to see the movie. If you whined at her kinda like "Mooommmm wwwwHHHHHyyyy?" Than she isn't going to think of you as mature enough to watch this movie. Maybe you could ask her to watch it with you she wouldn't feel like you are going behind her back by renting it w/o permission. Sometimes moms feel like it is there duty to protect their children, but if you are as mature as you say I'm sure that she might listen to you if you try to compromise. I hope it all works out for you! censorship is never the answer.

I've seen it and it's OK but really not that great. You are not going to like what I have to say but your mom is probably right. It is very sexual and not appropriate for your age. I know you won't agree with me but as you get older you will understand. This is the rating and why it's rated so:
Rated NC-17 for explicit sexual content

You should always listen to your Mom, BUT, if you'd like to impress her too; then suggest to her that you have a mom/daughter day and watch it together. Tell her you would like for her to watch it with you in case you have any questions or concerns about the movie. Oh, and if this doesn't work-remind her that it is 2007.

look at porn on the computer. and tell your mom u do. then she might let u watch it. lol. j/k dont to that. u will probaly get into a lot of trouble. just download it from somewhere (legaly... haha)
