I have found that to play newer games the tab needs to be fully to the right (full acceleration). My problem lies when I try to view movies or listen to music. If it is still at that setting when i start the video, my whole system locks up. I am constantly manually changing the setting based on what i am running. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!

Thanks for the responses so far, but im afraid that I have the latest drivers for my card. Also, I should have mentioned that these problems only started when I bought my brand new Nvidia 7600 GS ($300). Any other suggestions?

Make sure you have downloaded the latest drivers for your video card.

As a computer programmer, I've built a video player before and I know that the option is available to manually degrade your hardware acceleration from a programming standpoint. Problem is, there's little reason people would do this in a computer program that plays videos. Aside from the suggestion above, I have two solutions for you if you don't want to go through the hassle. Learn to program your own video player or buy a new video card.

call the restoration guy and ask him what pix card he put in or ask him to place in the drivers. He don't have put in a pix card and not shown that the drivers have been put in and that the cardboard become working exact. you are able to try only working Microsoft replace. this is going to often deploy drivers for units it could % out. replace: TheIntersect: that only approximately surely won't artwork. this is going to easily document it as a typical VGA adapter. without the drivers put in, it has no thank you to be attentive to the call of the video card is.

Hi. Art Student is right. Look into getting a newer Graphics card. You won't regret it because you can use it on later machines that you get. Or build!
