My first pastor said that one of the most important things in a marriage (or a relationship for that matter) is the ability to make each other laugh. This is not to say that you should be goofy, or constantly tell each other jokes. What it does mean is that you try to stay happy, and to find humor in the things that would normally cause tension or stress.
That is what I have done in my life. You see, my father would get stressed out, and he would take it out on everyone around him. He would rant, stew,and go off on tangents that would make no headway toward helping the situation. When I feel stress creeping in, or sadness or hurt, I try to find the happiness around me, and give a little of it back to the person or people who are being affected.
I'm an otter....plain and simple!

I would have to say, I am a true friend. I will be there thru thick & thin. I never tell a secret either!
I have to add my sense of humor, it help's me and other's I am friend's with, get thru tough times!
