This problem lookes like a difficult problem, but once you break it down, it really isn't that tough.

First turn the proper fractions into inproper fractions.

-3 1/4 = -13/4 and -2 3/4 = -11/4 then to divide you flip the fraction on the right of the ÷ sign and then multiply straight across the top and straight across the bottom.

-13/4 ÷ -11/4 = -13/4 •-4/11 = 52/44 = 13/11 or 1 2/11
there you go! I hope this helps!

When you divide numbers, the answer will be positive when the signs of both numbers are the same (either both negative or both positive). The answer will be negative when the signs are different (one negative and one positive). First perform the division and then decide on the proper sign. I think it is much easier to change the fractions to decimals first, so
3.25 divided by 2.75 is 1.1818. Since both of the signs are the same, the answer is positive, so your answer is 1.18.
