It's kinda like when it rains and the ground gets wet, it's like that. Would it be alright to plant in it, or is it too wet? I know weeds grow really well in that area....lol, but I got all them out and have the ground ready, but it's just very moist. any advice would really be appreciated.

I know it's fertil soil, the previous owner of my house had a garden there every year and it grew like crazy. I don't know if it was this moist. thanks for all, i think i might try planting a couple of things at first and make sure they make it before i continue.

If the soil is saturated then I would wait until it drains.Does it drain well??? Seeds need moisture to germinate however too much can cause then to rot.If it drains well and you are not expecting any prolonged period of heavy rain,I would wait a couple of days and plant away!!!

I would add something to the soil to help it with drainage. You might have a lot of clay in your soil which doesn't drain very well, add some compost material to help loosen the soil up. Till it in.
