ok so like in the sir aruther book they talk about swords,scabbard,and ARMS. I want to know what AN ARM IS LIKE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! plz and thank you

Arms is another word for weaponry. To take arms means to lift and potentially use a weapon. It's the same as soldiers now "present arms", which is to salute to someone by positioning a gun in a certain way (normally holding it out in front of the body).

You can also have a coat of arms, which would be the family crest, often found on shields and banners taken to war, to identify each other. They are now found above doors of old properties or hanging in frames on the walls of established families.

Arms are any weapons you can arm yourself with. Arms would be the things you use for the battle Taking Arms or arming is the act of taking those weapons. It is actually to do with the human arm. Its an extension of your physical arms and they are your first defense.
