If you get 17 magazine, they have a great section in it on spring make up and there are some really cute ideas in there. If you dont have one, pick one up. Its the one with avril levine on the cover

Go to a Beauty Counter (e.g. Clinique, Estee Lauder, Clarins etc) & ask them for ideas & advice as to how to make the most of your looks or to try something different.
Type in keywords like 'make-up step by step' into a search engine like Google & browse through websites they have there, I've done this before & have found some really helpful sites.

Another alternative is buying make-up & beauty books that may help you enhance your looks, teach you how to make the most of your make-up, etc. If you can't afford this, try your local library!

eyeliner- try to flick a bit at the sides to make eyes look wider
blusher- use on cheek bones to define them not all over your cheeks
foundation- use on smoother parts of face because it is really visible in those imperfections and stuff (not saying you have any :).lol )
tinted moisturizer-try to use tinted moisturizer if you can instead of foundation as it doesn't block pores as much and moisturizes
lip gloss/lipstick- go for a shade that suits you- browns or pinks . go for shine to draw attention to the lips
eyeshadow- go for more natural and light colors because if you go heavy and dark it can make your eyes look small .

I think the best thing is to sit in front of the mirror with all ya make - up and experiment.
Try mixing colours and trying things you wouldn't normally do! :)
