How do you "spruce" up a tree house for your kids?

My husband built a treehouse for our kids last summer and I want to make it "homey" for them but cant spend much money to do it. What kind of stuff could I use from around the house to sorta make it cool? My kids are 8 and 11.

Make curtains using towels from a dollar store and also purchase seasonal decorations from a dollar store and include your children in the choices. Also consider adding artwork that the kids have created and maybe some leftover Christmas lights to add some fun to the scenery.

now you can put thier toy box up there so you dont have to pick up after them :)
