I've been wondering, why the original cast hasn't done any new Animated series lately, in the style of Anime. Using their voices, It would be great to see one or two of the better novels (that picks up after ST VI).
Well, for vanity sake, they can be portrayed as they were when they did Star Trek VI (Bill has gotten a little plumpy since) Also, They can get away with a lot if they did do an Anime Variation of a Star Trek novel.
It would be cool, don't you think if it were done in the technique of the Anime Appleseed or Ghost in the Shell.
Even an Adventure, with the Just Capt. Sulu and the Excelsior crew, it would be cool too.
The fan base is there, I'm sure the market is there to support such a venture.

Should we bug Paramount to do it?

Given, that Deforrest and James Doohan is no longer with us, I'm sure there are capable voice actors who would be honoured to endeavour to portray them in the spirit of the characters that we love.

I think we should bug them, because an other Star Trek series would very very good, because like all of them that I know of are in repeats:(

Aw, gee, I hadn't heard that Doohan had passed away, but then, I don't pretend to keep up on things.

Maybe new anime with the remaining crew & Bones/Scotty on different assignments or vacation? Naw, that's lame.

I enjoyed the original stories when they came out, but sorry to say it, the 3rd season occasionally sucked the mop. "Spock's Brain"? "The Omega Glory"?

New anime with all new voices? And not wait until the rest of the crew dies?

It's always going to be a money thing. If there is enough money they will find a way to make a younger McCoy, Scotty, Kirk, etc. As previously mentioned, the loss of the original characters will hurt, but not nearly as much as the loss of gene Roddenberry
