I'd be giving up:
Dirk Nowitzki
Josh Howard
and
Ervin Santana

I'd be getting:
Johan Santana
David West
and
Ricky Davis

right now, I'm in 2nd place in my basketball league...what should I do?

NO WAY!!!!

Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard are top producers in NBA fantasy leagues.... and pitches for MLB Fantasy leagues are easier to come by. You just have to have a hot pitcher, not necessarily the biggest name. Ervin Santana is a quality arm, but if he has a rough start, you may end up waiving him anyway for another hot pitcher.

David West is an up and coming player, but can't match Nowitzki in stats. Davis is a nice player, but I'd take Howard any day because Howard fills up the stat sheet (assists, steals, rebounds) better than Davis. Johan Santana is the best pitcher in baseball, but there are more players in baseball to help makeup for that.

Even if Johan Santana is much better than Ervin Santana, you can find other pitchers so that your entire rotation matches up well throughout the season. It's not worth handicapping your basketball team to get Johan.

a: how the hell do u do interleague trade???
b: i wouldn't do it. Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard are incredible whereas David West and Ricky Davis are not. Ervin is definately no Johan, but Ervin is good enough.
