Races have nothing to do with this in a way, but I came from a short family and I'm asian and I'm 5'10 I'm not happy or sad but I feel like I am not part of the family, somehow. I get people staring at me everywhere just because I'm 5'10, I mean I'm not 6'5 or anything? I kind of feel thats bothering me alot.

I have seen a lot of short/ very short Asian parents with tall kids. Other than a tall gene up the family tree (tall grandpa or grandma), this phenomenon can also be contributed to a change in diet.

Asians used to eat far less meat (protein) in the past because meat was much more expensive. Rice used to be the main meal; not much protein to stimulate growth. This could be a major contribution to why you are taller than your parents.

Don't sweat it. Many people would be happy and thankful to be 5' 10". Turn your "flaw" into an asset. Clothes look nicer on a tall frame. Enjoy your height.

Children being taller than parents can be a sign of good parenting; in terms that they fed you well! Tell your parents, "Thanks!"

Do you feel wierd that you are short, or that you are tall? Anyways, you might be taller then your parents and family members due to a resessive trait. Somewhere along that family tree, someone was tall. That gene gets passed down (It doesn't matter if you are short, you still have it in you), and it keeps on getting passed down. Along the line, someone (if i understand the question correctly, that would be you) has that gene which is taken place in your growth.

I went to school with a girl whose parents were 100% italian--dark hair and dark eyes. All her siblings were the same. She, amazingly, was green eyes and red hair. She never questioned things until I mentioned "maybe your mom screwed around with someone and that is why you look different than all the other members of your family." Come to find out....I was right. Her mom had a "one night stand" and ended up getting pregnant.

Maybe this is your situation--maybe not. It just came to mind when I read your question.

you need to check on your fathers side, like his mom and dad and their mom and dadand also on your mothers side. you see I am 5'7 and my childrens dad is also 5'7, but my son is pushing 6'2, but the men on my side of the family are anywhere from 6' to 6'5
