Can someone help me with my iPod shuffle and iTunes?

When I open iTunes and put my shuffle in the computer, it won't show up in iTunes. It's usually on the left column but it doesn't show. I need it because I don't know where else to change my music or it's order;etc. I simply can't find it. Please help.

Can't help you. For one thing you didn't tell us what kind of iPod. On my iTunes on the top left edge is a line of commands. File - Edit- Controls - etc. The last one is HELP. It will help you figure it out. It's very easy to follow. If I can anyone can. Good Luck.
