Just remember with a fast computer someone can generate a program to crack even 63 characters in seconds. compared to milliseconds for an 8 character password.

If they want in they are in!

There is no point in remembering 63 characters. Are you going to type 63 characters everytime you login? Read the links below to microsoft password checker and security about what you should put in a password like numbers, Shift characters, etc.

I compared an 63 password with just random characters - la;lskl;al;al;akjkwfwbnmvud..... which came back as a Week the lowest password strength.
I compared that to a 14 password with !@#$charat123* which came back as the Best the strongest password strength.

Personally I like the one that comes with RoboForm. RoboForm can be used for limited login/form filling for free, and of course you can generate all the passwords you like.

The big problem with generating such good passwords is managing them, and that is why I use RoboForm.

http://javascript.internet.com/passwords/password-generator.html
http://geodsoft.com/cgi-bin/password.pl

search: "password generator" javascript
search: "password generator" php
search: "password generator" script

the thing is that these are so easy to code that you shouldn't need to buy or download a program. if you use a javascript one, you can just save it to your computer and run it with your browser.

If you have Firefox, you can get a free add-on called Fire Encrypter that does it.
