WWE is pinning a lot of their hopes for the future on Lashley and Cena and that's why Lashley's being pushed so hard. WWE considers him their next big star.

It is bad business to hand soemone one of your champisonship belts and make him look less than invincible, unless for storyline purposes you need a transitional champion for less than a month (see: Edge)

This is also the reason many people hate John Cena - he has held the belt for so long, beating HHH, King Booker, The Big Show, Umaga, and others along the way that fans are tired of him and see him as somewhat of a joke (don't get me wrong - there are Cena fans out there - I am only speaking about the haters out there)

ECW went straight into the crapper when RVD and Sabu were dumb enough to be caught with pot by a state trooper. Up until then, ECW seemed to be building steam with RVD as ECW/WWE champion, Sabu in some meaningful feuds and "spotfest galore" matches, and Tommy Dreamer quietly having decent matches in the background.

Then the pot bust occurred and everything went into the crapper. RVD and Sabu have been buried, CM Punk is primed to move to Smackdown or Raw, other talent have been cut or quit, and the writers have struggled to get the "New Blood" storyline over since the former Monty Brown, Kevin Thorn, and Matt Striker would be jobbers anywhere else - and they are at the forefront of the push for ECW. What a disgrace.

When Hardcore Holly (a stiff, boring wrestler if there ever was one) is the next biggest name in your organization next to the champ, you know that champ Lashley is going to be pushed huge.

I read on a wrestling website that Vince believe Cena and Lashley are the future, thus they are protected and pushed in their matches.

The only person I hate more than Lashley is Umaga. They are both terrible. Lashley makes Goldberg and Lesner look personable.

I agree, and Lashley has no warmth in the back of him in any way, and he will in no way have any. Vince could understand it truly is a lost reason even as human beings desire Monty Brown to take the strap from him interior one week of him debuting as Marc Cor Van. Lashley's only a waste of area. The boy had adequate time to coach with 2 of the properly desirable ring vets contained in the organization for about six months on smackdown, and his progression because his feud and suits with Finlay and Regal is nil. it truly is time to scrap'em, Batista too once you're at it. it truly is only no longer a huge guy's global anymore

Vince is pushing Lashley, just like he is pushing Khali and Umaga. All three are big, powerful wrestlers. That is what Vince wants is domination of the big guys.

Flair is the man. Lashley is terrible. He needs a personality.
