You can buy property in american if you're not a citizen, but you need some way to pay tax. 2 options, have a social security number, if you don't have that you need an ITIN number.

yes you can buy now. WAMU and Greenpoint offer these loans. you have to have a hefty down payment but you can buy.
the market in most areas in the US are dropping now, so don't buy anything until it has settled a little. this market isn't going to jump back after the long drop we are experiencing. You have time to get a green card or just wait till the market stops dropping.

Sure, you don't need to be a citizen to purchase. To get a loan you still need a good credit score and 25% down payment (unless you have full-time verifiable U.S. income).

Honestly, If you are not a citizen, dont buy our property and make OUR money, get your cards, and pay taxes like all the rest of us. I do not mean to be rude and unkind, but If your gonna come to OUR country, speak the language, pay the taxes, and do it the right way.
