Well. there was nothing wrong with the English movie actresses like Kay Kendall, and Vivien Leigh, and Jean Simmons to name a few before I lost interest in theatre and movies ... . er ... my memory is not focussed on this subject right now, but if I were you, I'd try to be a star in England first ....... take some classes in Shakespeare etc and get a classical background and no one will be able to say you are unprepared.... and then be SURE that regardless of where you are, you always have enough money to turn down trashy roles .... why? They will RUIN your career.
In any case, you only can make a success of yourself as an actress by the sheer love of acting and the theatre .... and if you become famous in the meantime, ok ..... if you can handle fame .... it is no fun ..... but you MUST ground yourself first so your feet always stay on the ground, or else they will straighten your teeth, peroxide your hair, and give you costumes that show too much of what is yours ....
(p.s. Why on earth do you want to be a Hollywood actress? It is hardly the most glamorous life. Not only that, it is not even a NICE life. You are still to young to know what that means? What a shame. It IS Tinseltown and Bollywood out there. Don't you already know that?) (Aaargles!)
In any case, you cannot manufacture a career ... either you are a 'star' or you are not! so ... relax and enjoy your life and do not chase after fame and fortune lest they turn around and bite you.

You should pursuit an acting career in the UK first. There are a lot of English that made it to Hollywood but most were known in the UK first before they did. And besides it's easier to get in the business in the UK then it is in the US.
If you haven't though, I would start at applying for acting school, like the LAMDA or NYFA. Maybe there are some acting classes you can take in your town or school too.

Glad to see someone has ambition :)
on a downer, thats massivly tough. There are probably millions of people who think the same way.
Get acting experince. Professional and amateur stage, sign up with legit casting agencies near you - why not see what ones famous uk actors are signed to, and then try contacting them? Its your best chance of getting "seen".. remember a lot of big films are not just filmed in Hollywood. I would add skills to your CV like swimming, riding, etc, as well. And do all you can to appear professional at the same time being noticed...
And yes, its a hard slog!

short answer, you may no longer, or a minimum of have a low risk of having contained available in the industry. Actor or actresses could desire to talk, and likewise could desire to have the skill to artwork with one in all those individuals which incorporates directors, casting brokers, and different actors. while you're shy and can't surely get alongside with human beings, which would be a undertaking. except you're quite good finding, you will no longer get a raffle in case you do no longer tutor some character too. There are incredibly much no roles that would not contain conversing. except you opt for to be a historic past actress/edge character who would not have conversing roles, or like a homicide sufferer on crime shows, your opportunities are high limited. it rather is already a tough industry to get in, so which you would be able to desire to income to be no longer shy. maybe your performing type will help.

Hollywood want young. beautiful, tall, slim people first and foremost, so if you are all them you are half way there. You need a Green card as you are unable to work in the USA without one. These are extremely difficult to get but one can do it through USA lawyers but it'll cost you a couple of grand.
You also need an agent, you are useless without one, but they won't take you on without the Green card. Some companies in the UK....that's if you are in the UK......do exchange plays on Off,Off Broadway but I don't know how you would get in touch with them. Look in the Stage newspaper sometimes it advises you in the ads how to apply for a green card

haha...small joke
Get some theater experience under your belt and then when you get to Hollywood...get an agent. You'll never get a role in a movie without one.
