Never let the fear of failure prevent you from taking part in, or trying, something.

I've always though that fear of failure is one of the biggest reasons people (myself included) either stop themselves from attempting something, procrasinate, convince themselves not to try, and/or never achieve what they want - or are capable of.

If striking out means the same thing as 'three strikes and your out', then perhaps I am beginning to understand your question.

Okay; lets look at the three strikes and your out concept. Does it apply only to a person who commits two crimes and on the third strike [crime] goes to jail. Or, does it apply to the Unions? On the third strike, the entire membership of said Union all go to jail?

To me it is an encouragement to keep on with something even if you are not very good at it or likely to be a high achiever. Its about taking part, whatever your skill level. Like someone playing rounders who will always drop the catch but enjoys the team game.

If at first you don't succeed, try again. don't be afraid to try something new.. the only thing we have to fear,is fear its self. A coward dies a thousand deaths,a brave man only once!

Nothing more than what it says.
Don't let the worry of failing stop you from actually doing it.
