How exactly does that make it ok. There are none of the true conservative base that would try and justify this.
Clinton was the only one that made it ok to have an affair by setting up precident. And its still not OK, by any measure.
Foley stepped down because his actions were no OK. Romney has flip flopped on the abortion issue, but has never shown support for abortion, his stance has been in the middle.
These inceidents have weakened the support of the republican party by true conservatives. However since these epople are conservatives and have a moral standard by which to be judged, they are. unlike the liberals who have done the same actions, and worse - they have no morals and no standard by which to be judged by the left.

Honey, Clinton made it okay to commit adultery, and commit perjury, and even made it okay to use a position of power to take advantage of a low-ling.
And liberals are not concerned about perversion in their own party, anyway. They just like to use our morality against us.

How did Libby make it OK to lie to the FBI? He was convicted.
Unless, of course, he gets pardoned. That would qualify.
And if I'm not mistaken Haggard has renounced those activities, and claims that he is now "cured".
