A lot of people think running is not a sport and it makes me mad - do you think it's a sport?

Running is totally a sport.......
Definition:
–noun 1. an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.

I run everyday and totally agree with you

Running is a sport in fact it may be one of the few true sports. Where no judge or referee is needed it is just man versus man

Running is 'the' original sport - the basis of the Olympic games and the component of most other games to follow. Most of the sport legends like Jerry Rice, Emmit Smith, Michael Jordan, etc... all ran regularly.

To those ignorant folks that are teasing you, I would just tell them: "I can understand your fear of running - my sport is your sport's punishment"...see what they say then ;-)

I run 30 miles a week, I dont call it a sport, I call it training to go do the things I like to do..

other's call me just down right wacko for running that much..

but then they are stuck to the couch in their potato chip grease..
