But son, the facts point to Iran pursuing a program that appears to be related solely to nuclear energy. The Iranian uranium enrichment technology that they’re developing has the potential to be used as part of a nuclear weapons program, but there’s no evidence that one exists.

Lastly, about this notion that the Iranians are behind the export of various technologies into Iraq, which are responsible for the deaths of Americans.

The United States itself invited pro-Iranian elements--who had been trained, equipped and were operating inside Iran--to come into Iraq and participate in the formation of a new government. This is mainly the Dawa Party. Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki is a product of the Dawa Party--as was, prior to that, Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari. The largest element, of course, is the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, whose military arm, the Badr Brigade, is now the largest Shia militia operating in Iraq today.

The Iranian response to the attack you call for may overwhelm the ability of an air-only plan to deal with it, and prompt the United States into having to commit a certain amount of boots on the ground. Don’t think for a second that the Iranians aren’t capable of surrounding and destroying American troops on the ground. They are more than capable of doing that.

Because we don't have the manpower, resources or money to fight a war in Iran. We don't even have the manpower or resources to maintain our current efforts in Iraq.

But if you want to resolve the problem using force, just use nukes. Pull out all American troops from the region, nuke the major cities and major areas of conflict, and then move back in.

If we use neutron bombs, then it won't destroy the oil reserves, and won't even seriously damage the infrastructure. And the casualties probably wouldn't be any higher than a ground-based plan.

Will that get you what you want?

that's actual in all probability no longer real. If i'm no longer unsuitable Venezula controls approximately 12% and Iran 20-30%. Saudi Arabia is the main important unmarried oil-keeping united states of america. And to respond to your question no we could no longer bankrupt China and Russia for countless motives. a million.) China is our greatest procuring and advertising better half and the source of the large majority of our commercial and shopper products. 2.) Russia nonetheless has adequate nuclear submarines to wipe each American off the face of the planet and turn this united states of america right into a radioactive dustbowl. 3.) despite if we took Venezula AND Iran; China is finding into new oil components in East Africa besides because of the fact the reserves it gets from different procuring and advertising companions. wish that enables. Edit for Dale D - Our reserves would not even conceal our very own oil utilization for even a twelve months. we are unlikely to "administration the international" on it.

It is not our mission to start a war with Iran, but to maintain a presence in the area from which we can assure that such a war will never happen. Iran is basically surrounded by United States military bases, if we wanted to take them out we could. However it is our policy that a strong offense makes for a strong defense. We saw it during the Cold War personified in the M.A.D. defense. Iran doesn't even have that much, there will be no mutual destruction for acting against the interests of the world, but only self destruction.

invading iran is not going to be like invading iraq. The iranians currently popularly support their government. No story of liberators, heroicly defending the rights of other human beings here. Iranians hate the US and Iran is the main cause< has always been> for Islamic Fundimentalism, lets just call it hate-the-westism. Should you invade or attack Iran now all that will happen is that no other country would help the US. Also a bunch of guys that dont have the decency to shave, scream obscene hatered of the west and all the freedom it represents[not to mention the loss of control over wemon] while simultaniuosly claiming to fear the one true god, would take advantage of young men and wemon, either too poor, too endoctrinated, too uneducated, and if non of those too stupid to realize that suicide is not martyrdom, and that god frowns upon killing for anyreason., and would have them do their bidding, which in fact usually has not a thing to do with Islam or faith but either a lothing of the west due to what the west has done in the past, economic reasons such as them selling their country's one natural resorce to the west and realizing that once thats gone no ones gonna give a damn about the fact that mecca is in suadi arabia or that the taliban is in pakistan and uses it as a staging area or that TSA officials are starting to have a fetish for middle eastern men between the ages of 18 and 40 and cavity searches, or that their mother didn't hug them enough or maybe their fathers loved them to much.
So if you wished to go to war with iran now is not the time. They have popular support, they dont like the US, and the only war with them would be total war(bombing civilians possibly).
Its not a supprise that one of the political groups in iraq right now is being funded by iran, also hamas and many other terrorists.
I believe that the only thing that can be done in this situation is show our commitment to peace and our strength with our allys. Besides our forces are already streached and no one wants a draft. Plus we cant forget north korea and we need to become better freinds with china( they call themselves commies but whats with all the free trade and capitalism just wait pretty soon the communist party might fall and if it does its gonna be democracy.

I belive the best corse of action for the United States right now is to once again become the leader in technological development and stop worrying about this and that country, and stop exporting our knowledge to every other competitor.

Generally, we're not in the business of invading other nations. Contrary to popular belief, we're not in Iraq, ( Or Kuwait in the last war ) to obtain anyones oil reserves. We had set objectives, and we're to accomplish them only.

The only plausable reason to invade Iran is to prevent them from gaining nuclear weapons, in which they would use against Israel or the West.
