different i know,but i used to work at a zoo,and we had several people used to collect tiger of lion poo to put in their gardens to scare cats away,cant promise it will work,but if your near a zoo,it might be worth a go :)

cats like to sniff things. Especially flowers. I don't really know what would stop them from coming into your garden.

Don't bother,none of them work,I've tried them all.
The best thing is the motion detector that scares the cats off with sound.(from garden centres...but a bit pricey).

put 2 liter bottles of water around cats dont like them and have always kept out of my garden since i started doing it

Dog rose? seriously though there ain't anything on the market that's 100%, the critters even get use to motion detectors.
