8. Write the slope-intercept form of the line going through the points (-2, 3) and (1, 8).

A - y = (5/3)x + 19/3
B - y = -5x + 13
C - y = (5/3)x - 19/5
D - y = (3/5)x - 21/3
E - -2y = 3x + 5/3
F - y = (19/5)x - 5/3

step1. first find the slope of the line (m)..

m = (y2 - y1)/ ( x2 - x1)
m = ( 8 - 3)/ ( 1 - (-2) )
= 5 / 3

step2. recall ..
SLOPE INTERCEPT FORM..
y = mx + b ....now our aim is to find the value of y intercept

since line passing through (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) so it will satisfy the equation of line ......
so we get 3 = (5/3) (-2) + b
3 = -10/3 + b (add 10/3 on both side ..)
b = 3 + 10/3 (make the denominator same )
b = 9/3 + 10/3
b = 19/3 .....
step3. plug in value of b and m in the SLOPE intercept form of line ..
we get
y = (5/3)x + 19/3 .......so this means option A is the final answer ..:)

Hope this will help u..:)

y = mx + b .... where m is slope of line and b is y intercept.

m = (8-3) / (1-(-2)) = 5/3

y = mx + b
8 = 5/3(1) + b
b = 19/3

y = 5/3x + 19/3 or A

hope this helps
