how do I convince my parents to let me get a cellphone when they think I am imature?

Tell them you will pay for it. If that's not possible, ask them if you can get one of those pay as you go phones. You could do chores in exchange for them buying you more minutes, kinda like an allowance. Doing the chores will show them that you are responsible and willing to work for what you want. If you do that for a while they might consider getting you a better one.

Cell phone comes with a big bill at the end of the month. If anything, get a pay as you go phone. Then your parents don't have to worry about you screwing up your credit before you even have a credit history.

well if i was u i would convince them having a cellphone is good thing like for example for emergencies. or when ur lost or somethin. everone has to have a cellphone for those kind of reasons. and if they think ure imature try being good around the house.

show them that you can be responsible with the things that u have. I have a 13 year old and she gets to keep her phone as long as she is responsible. that means keeping grades up, not being disrepectful towards me or her mother or teachers.
