If you have WEP enabled and have a strong password, it is doubtful that your system is compromised. There is a possibility that it is though, if you are concerned, then I would set up a schedule to alter the password key for the WLAN. Depending on your concern, you can change the key as often as you like. Or once a month. I find that once a month is sufficient to thwart most hacking attempts.

Below is a link to the how it works and why, it is very informative. For the most part, WLAN systems with a strong key are secure. But nothing with the same key will stay secure indefinite. Some sort of key change on a periodic basis is advisable.

PS: if you have given out your key to a friend, i would change keys after that friend no longer has/needs the use of your WLAN

Anything's possible, but chances are it's your router communicating with the modem and the pcs attached to it. If you really think someone is stealing your signal, change the encryption key.

No probably not being stolen. It flashes if theres any activity which includes talking to other computers that are on,maybe even off, or your modem.
