Whatever you did in the past paves the way for the present. What you are doing now, (the present), will determine what will happen next, (the future).

The future can be shaped by learning and so called progress in the present and this has been learnt by breakthroughs and mistakes made in the past. However, I think it is only technology that becomes more complicated as far as the future goes. I don't think that man actually progresses much from increased knowledge of character/behaviour etc., I think that follows the same sort of path as years ago so it forms a type of circle so I think the past, present and future are circle shaped. Just my opinion though :)

Your thoughts shape your past, present and future. You can literally change the past and present with your thoughts. If you change your present thoughts about the way you felt about a particular thing, that thought reaches all the way back into the past and changes the experiences wrapped around it, and that change that happens in the past will shape a different future. The illusion is the linear concept we have of past, present, and future.

If certain things didn't happen in the past, then we would have a completely different present, the present is the futures past, so what the world is like now, is the complete basis on what the world will be like in the future.

Because from second to second time is a continuum , just as a plant grows and changes so does the future as it emerges from the past and present . Then it too becomes the present and then the past . If we do not look back and learn we fall into the same mistakes again and again .

we learn what we do from the world in of our past but we can not go back our mistakes so we must learn to shape the future better what was done in our life
