A mother knows her own child best and your baby only has you to rely on. If you yourself are worried, do consult your GP and discuss the possibilities. Hopefully your fears will be unfounded, but it's always better to err on the side of caution so that help can be received sooner, rather than later. This is from the website below: 'Infants born with CF usually show symptoms within the first year. Some children, though, may not show symptoms until later in life. The following symptoms may indicate CF, and infants having these signs may be tested for CF:
diarrhea that does not go away
foul-smelling stools
greasy stools
frequent episodes of wheezing
frequent episodes of pneumonia
persistent cough
skin tastes like salt
poor growth
chronic sinus infection
The symptoms of cystic fibrosis may resemble other conditions or medical problems. Always consult your child's physician for a diagnosis.'

Picked this up from the nhs website. Remember that she may have symptoms but not have CF, so you should really have her checked out by a doctor before panicking.
The symptoms of cystic fibrosis vary. Sometimes a newborn baby will have a swollen abdomen due to not passing meconium (thick, sticky greenish-black faeces) normally passed by infants for the first day or two after birth. The meconium can be so thick in babies with cystic fibrosis that it blocks the intestine.
Other symptoms usually develop later, including the child passing pale, oily and particularly foul smelling faeces, poor weight gain and failure to thrive. Cystic fibrosis affects the enzyme secretion of the pancreas and the enzyme-secreting glands in the wall of the bowel. This causes defective absorption of important food constituents. Also recurrent upper respiratory tract and chest infections, causing persistent coughing and breathlessness.
Sinusitis and nasal problems are also common. Their sweat contains excessive salt and the skin may be powdered with dried sweat.
Later in life, people with cystic fibrosis are prone to bronchiectasis, bowel obstruction problems, failure to absorb food properly infertility and cirrhosis (scarring) of the liver.

The respiratory problems and foul-smelling bowel movements are both symptoms. Two are other symptoms are being small for her age, and having a salty taste to her skin when you kiss her.
If you think there may be a problem, please see a doctor. Only he can tell you if there is something wrong. If your daughter does have CF, the earlier the doctor catches it and begins treating it, the better the outcome. If not, there is probably still something that can be done to ease her respiratory problems.
Good luck!

I would check the symptoms you have noticed with your doctor, make a note of everything. It is better to check than be stressed not knowing. The things you have mentioned can be symptoms of cystic fibrosis but there are also a lot of other things that can cause these so get a professional to check it out.

Sometimes it's best to follow that "Mommy instinct" and pursue any avenues you can in getting her checked out. Even if she doesn't have Cystic Fibrosis, she could have something else. Or hopefully it's nothing. But still, it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to these things, better to feel like a dummy in front of the Dr. than to have something go undiagnosed.

OK, the best advice is to see your GP. I just wanted to add that sometimes mothers of new borns can worry excessively about their health, as a result of post natal depression. This can occur after a first, second or even seventeenth child. It just seems strange to me that you would assume your baby might have cf- does it run in the family? I hope everything turns out alright, I'm sure your Dr is the best person to talk to.

I think poor weight gain and constant infections are symptoms of CF but you really need to get her tested - go to your doctor and explain your concerns, she should get referred to the hospital for tests.

I study the story and that i've got been given chills my coronary heart and prayers go out to her. it is so unhappy to stay this sort of short terrible existence. I genuinely have 3 babies and can't even think of this sort of difficulty. I heavily think of that i might kill them yet no longer by technique of such a normal way that folk get by technique of the death penalty. so as that being reported No i do no longer think in the death penalty. i think of by technique of a great way wherein they might desire to get existence in penitentiary without probability of parole! and that i wish that they get the sh** beat out of them familiar that they are there. i think of the death penalty may be a normal way out for them
